how to build social networking web site?

Wanting to develop social networking site that is primarily focused on music fans. All aspects of musical invovlement are covered in working plan inclduing sharing interests, finding upcoming concerts, and ticket information, etc. Similar to facebook but focused. Want to use popular API’s. We have the vision and copyright but need to find someone to develop, host and market.
You can try out Elgg, which is an open source social network. Or SocialEngine which looks/feels amazing with all its features.
